So the Detroit Red Wings (or team Sweden, they're pretty much the same) are facing the Pittsburgh Penguins for the second year in a row. The last time two teams faced each other in back-to-back finals were the Islanders and Oilers. Anyway, here at this new blog we might as well join everyone else in predicting who will win the Stanley Cup.
B: I don’t know who to choose. On one hand Pittsburgh has a Canadian captain (when it comes to the NHL, there are some "traditions" i like to keep). On the other Detroit is, well, Detroit. While Pittsburgh let me down last year, if anyone deserved to break the barrier it was Lidstrom*. I don’t know, maybe it was a one-time thing, maybe it’s a start of a new era. While it would be nice to see a team pull off back-to-back cups again, I’ll pull for Crosby and co. As long as the series goes to game seven I’ll be entertained.
*Side Note: being a Habs fan, why couldn’t Koivu be the first?!
M: Go Penguins WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
