2011 Playoff Review - Stanley Cup Finals: (1) Vancouver Canucks vs. (3) Boston Bruins

Series Summary

I don't wanna talk about it...FINE, I will. So the Canucks get off to a 2-0 series lead (thanks to Burrows' heroic efforts in immoblizing Bergeron's fingers...and an overtime winner). The Bruins then shelled the Canucks in Boston the next two games, winning both games by a combined total of 12-1. It wasn't without cost, as Aaron Rome took out Nathan Horton with a late (but mostly-legal IMO) hit. Horton suffered a severe concussion and Dr. Recchi appearently was too busy to give a diagnoses. Vancouver took back the series lead at home with another Luongo shutout, which was then followed by another Luongo choke-job in Boston. The Bruin then took game 7 with near-ease, winning 4-0.

Three Thoughts About The Series One Thought About Each Team
  • Bruins won. And in other news, I just brought the drug store's whole supply of prozac.
  • Dear Canuck Fans: Stop ripping us off. Sincerely, Habs fans. (note: joke letter, don't go burning cars after reading this).

I hate Thomas, but gotta give him props for the hit

One is despicable and signed a contract extension earlier in the season...the other is the Commish

Play of the Series

It really pain me to say this: Congratulations Boston Bruins for winning the Stanley Cup.
