Moosehead Player of the Game

Philippe Gadoury. 2 goals and 2 assist his first game back. That's pretty good.

Thing That Annoyed Me

There were a few times they were lackadaisical getting to loose pucks. That's basically it.

Game Notes
  • Along with Gadoury, it was Fucale's first game back. He was good for the most part (only one goal he should have had, rest were backdoor/odd-man rush style tap-ins).
  • Can't believe it took Chicoutimi 10 minutes to put in Storm Phaneuf. How dare they keep an awesome name like that on the bench.
  • The Mooseheads chased Billia off, as they scored on their first 3 shots of the game. They were 100% shooting for the first half of the first period.
  • The Moosehead's changed their powerplay to more of a 1-3-1. It actually worked! Ok, only one PP goal was scored, but the chances were numerous.
  • On the zone-entry front, Gadoury lead the way in carry-ins. King was a surprised, as he had a few in carries in the first period. It was pretty spread out in the second. Max Fortier and Connor Moynihan lead the way in carry-ins the third.
  • At the end of the game (before the 3 stars are announced), I wondered if anyone from the opposing team would actually come out if their name was announced as one of the stars. Sure enough, Chicoutimi's Dauphin (third star) came out when his name was called.
