Fireball Player
(He's so hot, nothing is gonna put this guy out)
Jonathan Drouin - After being an honourable mention last game, he comes out and just dominates this game. Honourable mention to Andrew Ryan for his two goals.
Snake Bitten Player
(No amount of sucking will help get the poison out of him)
Martin Frk - This is mostly by default (the team was good), but Frk did have moments were he should have just passed the puck instead of trying something. He also took a bad penalty near the end of the first.
Play of the Game
(Every game has a defining moment, this is probably it)
The beginning of the third period saw Halifax have a solid few minutes on offense, which was capped by Ryan's second goal of the game..
Notes
- Note to self: Do not attempt to use QMJHL site as a source for starting goaltenders. They used the No.1 goalies in the preview but both backups started this game.
- This time a Mooseheads player went down in the corner. I didn't catch who went down, but it wasn't for long and he didn't need to go to the dressing room.
- Trey Lewis had a huge hit early on then won a fight soon afterwards (partial fight video below)
- Frk made a defensive play late in the game, but missed the puck and got penalized for tripping. It was one of those penalties that you don't mind the player taking since it could have prevented a goal.
- Up until Mantha's late goal, it seems like that you either score multiple goals or none.
- Speaking of goals, the order (before Mantha) was Drouin, Zlobin, Ryan. Rinse and repeat.
