Man, the NHL isn't messing around in these playoffs. Round Two starts tonight in Vancouver with the just-avoided-an-epic-choke Canucks and the second-round-virgins Preds.
Nashville Predators vs. Vancouver Canucks
Now that the Canucks beat the demons of playoffs past, they should be able to cruise to the finals (well, maybe the third round). Not to discredit Nashville, but Vancouver is too talented to lose this early. Nashville does have the potential to win a game or two against the Canucks, but Pekka Rinne needs to play a lot better than he did against the Ducks. And speaking of goalies playing better....Luongo, that is all. Vancouver in 6.
Boston Bruins vs. Philadelphia Flyers
Yes, they don't start until Saturday. No, I won't do a series preview...FINE!...The team that eliminated the Habs last year vs. the team that beat them this year. Also, the team who won four straight after being down 0-3 vs. the team that joined choking infamy last year. If Philadelphia can get their goaltending straight, they'll win. If Boston can get more production from guys like Lucic, Chara, and Kaberle, they'll win. It should be a tight series though. Sensible-side pick: Philadephia in 7. Bitter-side pick: Philadephia in 4)
